What is FSSAI?
FSSAI is the Food Safety and Standard Authority of India. For all food related businesses, an FSSAI registration is compulsory to have. It was introduced to check the quality standards of edibles and to reduce adulteration.
Who needs an FSSAI registration?
According to FSSAI rules, any person who is involved in food related business need to have an FSSAI License. Food related business include any business that is into the procurement (import), manufacture, processing, packaging, storage and distribution of food items. You need to register online for it and if approved, you will be provided with a 14 digits license number which you have to display in all your food products.
Process of FSSAI registration

IDENTIFICATION OF CATEGORY
FWe will fill in the FSSAI application for you online after you provide us details about your business to determine what category it falls under. -
VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS
You will have to provide us all the required documents for the license by email. We will verify these documents to ensure smooth process. -
FILING THE APPLICATION
After having all required documents, we will create Form A and Form B for FSSAI application of the license. -
GENERATING INSPECTION DETAILS
Our experts will file your FSSAI license application to the local FBO. There will be regular follow ups with the food department at this stage. -
PROCUREMENT OF LICENSE

Documents Needed for FSSAI Registration
To apply for an FSSAI License online, you have to provide the following documents: -
- A declaration form stating all details mentioned are true.
- An authority letter stating permission for us to apply for an FSSAI Central License on your behalf.
- If you own the food factory or premises, the property papers are needed.
- In case the premises is a rented property, a copy of the rent agreement is needed.
- A self-declared copy of the r Food Safety Management System Plan.
- A copy of the electricity or water bill of the business place.
- A copy of the Aadhar card of the proprietor or director of the company.
- The blue print or layout of the food processing unit.
- List all the machinery units employed.
- A list of the food products desired to be manufactured.
- Pesticide residue reports of water.
